The still empty machine room after being sandblastet and painted. The connector of the exhaust door is in sight on the ceiling, the bottom boards on the main floor. On the left you can see the frame for the workbench and gas cylinders, on the right the engine fundament.
Frank, Ingo, Andre and Carsten installed the machine room on a single day, a TV team made a short film about it.

The beginning of the setting up of the machine room. The engines of the high-pressure bilge pumps, the ceiling lights and also the electric net is installed.

Above the head of the steventube the first high-pressure compressors is installed while the second one is on the way. His place is gonna be behind the workbench under the electrics. Under the workbench, the bottom boards and the engine fundaments the high-pressure gas cylinders were placed. Also in sight: The bilge pumps.

The dieselelectric engine. In sight at the front is the diesel, behind it is the boat turnaround drive, angular above the electric engine and generator.
The drivebelt, which runs the engine as a generator from the layshaft, is now well in sight. At the end bulkhead behind the drive is the servo for the rear adjustment tanks valve.

The yellow protect-cover made from stainless steel was bolted at the entry to protect the machine room from weather. It also copies the area in front of the flange to make it easier to calculate the rooms dimension. The thing in the upper right is the electric exhaust door.
A hard day of work comes to an end.

André on the way from the front section to the machine room. Upper left the exhaust door (well in sight here), left to it the chain hoist and the prow wherewith the installation was done. Prow and chain hoist will stay in the boat serving as hanging for the muffler. Also newly installed was a vice at the workbench.
